THE LIFE CHURCH HOUSTON

It was October 16, 2015

when what was merely a vision written on paper became reality. Pastor Marcus and the first 6 official members assembled in his living room to hear the vision and officially become a Church. Prayer and welcome was rendered at approximately 7:06pm by Lady T. Pastor Marcus went forward and shared the very vision that God had given him and at about 7:45pm The Life Church officially was declared a church with 6 members Tachura Whittaker, Veronica Moore, Michael Preston, Shemekia Preston, Tacha Flaniken, and William Robinson. 

 

November 5, 2015 we held our inaugural Bible Study. What an exciting night as Pastor taught on The Essentials of Progress. Following we began our official TLC Observation Tour going and learning about different ministries.

February 21, 2016 we held our first worship service. (In the wrestling gym) It was that very day we came to understand and discover the resiliency of our church. The sermon that day was “This is Going to be Big”. August 21, 2016 we OFFICIALLY LAUNCHED as a full time ministry and we have not turned back. After growing in number and spirit as a result in February of 2019 Pastor Marcus declared that we would move out of the Hyatt Regency into our own Sanctuary by August and on August 7 2019 we received keys to our first sanctuary 411 N Sam Houston Pkwy Suite 140. It was there where we really grew and matured as a thriving church. As we begin to build momentum even while surviving COVID, we lost our sanctuary to the Winter Storm of 2021, but God is FAITHFUL. We was able to secure our 2nd Sanctuary that you sit in TODAY!! 2022 we have deemed The Year of Ascension and we have experienced the best year in church history spiritually, numerically, and financially!! Pastor declared that families would be birthed out of The Life Church and that is just what has happened. New relationships, Restored Relationships, births, and overall spiritual awakening has taken place. God has been our guide, protector, and provider. We have grown from 6 in a living room to 70 members and counting!!!! God is our focus, and we are building His Kingdom!!
